The ancient herbivore of Mosstropolis

from Songs from Cuckoo lake by A place from Manoah

lyrics

Mountains high, clear blue sky,
When I hear you call my name I’m sure to reply,
Mountain stream, fresh & clean,
Let me take a long draught & forget where I’ve been,
And sit in conversation about time,
With the moss & the rocks covered with the lichen,
And learn about the order of life
From the bees, who find the heather to their liking!

My bare feet, love to greet
The spongey, the soggy, boggy, mossy squelching peat,
The Temple is alive,
The Temple is alive!
On all fours like a herbivore I’m grazing The Divine!

To stretch out a lazy afternoon
And let the natural flow of time pass without ticking
And in evening welcome quiet crescent moon,
By the warmth of the fire side,
We'll sing the tide,

Gentle, gentle,
Can you feel the happening?
Long ago, & yet untold,
Expanding time upon a single point

Be still, have peace,
Can you sense the magic of being?
Can you see where you are
Amongst all things?
